Item Description

Se-tenant pair of Germania stamps in UNUSED, F-VF condition. Hinge remnants are seen on the back of the stamps and a slight horizontal crease is seen across the two stamps, otherwise no flaws noted. There is evidence that the perforations had started to separate & the hinge remnants may have been applied to the back of the stamp to arrest any further separation. There is still an abundance of gum on the backs of the stamps, the stamps are crisp & their colors are bright. SC #83 is the 10-pfennig stamp on the left and SC #82 is the 5-pfennig stamp on the right. This se-tenant pair was originally a part of a booklet pane of SC #82 & SC #83 stamps (i.e. SC #82e, SC #82f or SC #82g). Typographed, water-activated gum, lozenges water mark (wmk 125), perf 14½.
