Item Description

SCV $220.00 (2016). Set of two semi-postal sheets of four stamps each in MNH, canceled, F-VF condition. No flaws are noted on the stamps, although shallow creases occur on the margins of both sheets & faint age spots on the margin of B91 are noted. The gum is immaculate, perforations are fully intact (i.e. no separations are noted), the stamps are crisp & their colors are distinct. The two sheets commemorate the 1936 Olympic Games that took place in Berlin Germany when Adolph Hitler led the nation. The margins of both sheets are water-marked with "XI. OLYMPISCHE SPIELE" and "BERLIN 1936". Engraved, water-activated gum, swastika watermark (wmk 237), perf 14 x13-1/2.
