Item Description

Germany (Berlin), Scott #9N198, used (o), 1963, Views of Old Berlin: Mauerstrasse of 1780, stamp shows a view of the street facing the Bethlehemkirche (also known as the Bohemian Church), 15 pfennigs, bluish gray and dark blue, Scott 2019 catalog value: 25¢. Very slightly off-centered, large, light, half circular, single-rimmed, black-inked, broken-up, hollowed-out socked-on-the-nose cancellation on the left half of the stamp and into the main image, lightness of the cancel and the broken-up and hollowed-out effects leave the main image remarkably clear, sound back, two hinge remnants, several short perforations on right side toward the top when viewed from the front, otherwise good perforations. This is not a bait-and-switch' offering. The stamp you see will be the stamp you receive.
