Germany reuse of rohrpost envelope airmail baden to baden 1921 interesting! Never waste a perfectly good envelope. Re-use of an old rohrpost (pneumatic mail) envelope. The envelope was originally issued in 1921 with a printed indicia value at 225 pfennig. The indicia has been covered over with a 5 pfennig airmail stamp issued in 1924 the above envelope was sent from baden-baden via airmail. Note: mit luftpost befödert baden-baden /über stuttgart / durch flugpost. The rate was 10 pfennig: non-local + 60 pfennig airmail fee. Besides the 2 - 5 pfennig stamps, there is a 40 pfennig airmail stamp, covering the word huhrpost, that was issued in 1918 and was invalid for use after october 10, 1922.
