Item Description

Great Britain, Scott #320 color variant (Stanley Gibbons #543b), used(o), 1956, Wilding: Queen Elizabeth II; the Wildings were a series of definitive postage and revenue stamps featuring the Dorothy Wilding photographic image of Queen Elizabeth II at age twenty-six that were in use between 1952 and 1971, watermarked: Saint Edward's Crown (two-tiered, bulging) with E2R repeated in reverse image, Wilding second watermark, upright watermark, Scott watermark #308, Stanley Gibbons watermark #165, from a sheet, customer torn perforations on all four sides (TTTT), regional flowers form the oval, no phosphorus, photogravure printed, perforated: 14½x14, 2 pence, light red brown, Scott 2022 catalog value: 25¢, slightly off-centered, light horizontal message box cancellation over the upper portion of the stamp and just into the main image, the lightness of the cancel and the location of the cancel leaves the main image largely clear, sound back, good perforations; image free cancel warrants a selling price premium; inventory stock code: MF. This is not a 'bait-and-switch' offer; the stamp you see will be the one you receive.
