Item Description

SCV $0.30 (2018). Single 50-drachma overprinted on a 10-lepta stamp depicting a Lady of Tiryns in USED, F-VF condition. No gum. The stamp is firm, its colors are bright, it has a black ink cancellation mark & is surcharged in blue ink. This stamp is the uncorrected version of the issue where the third word beneath the figure is spelled 'TYRIN' rather than the 'TIRYN' spelling of the word. The tax surcharge was levied for the Postal Employees' Welfare Fund. Lithographed, no gum, crowns watermark (wmk 252), perf 12 x13½.
