Front Image is 600 dpi, the back has some gum on it.

I originally had this listed as Scott 2a.
A collector who has acquired considerably more knowledge of this issue than me wrote the following. :

This stamp appears to be a Scott 17 as the cheek lines are too heavy to be a Paris printing. It is the coarse printing of 1865 on rough paper. I have an example in my reference collection. The dark color is not from the paper but from the brownish ink that oxidized.

I think he is correct and have changed the catalog number to Scott 17.
