Item Description
Here's a completely hand-drawn and Handcolored cachet on the 11.1¢ Nonprofit Stamped Envelope from 1991. To tie in with the silhouetted Swallows perched on telephone lines in the envelope's imprinted design, you get two talkative birds "On The Line" gabbing telephonically.The stamped envelope was issued in Massachusetts, and a Massachusetts State Bird stamp was used to make up the difference between 11.1¢ and the First Class rate of the time.
The cover comes in a folded custom-designed folder, inside an attached mount. Only 20 of these were created - this is #4 of those 20, and possibly the only one franked with the Massachusetts Black-Capped Chickadee!
It's the last remaining FDC for this issue in the artist's archives!
