This stamp belongs to the prestigious pre-unification era of Italian States philately. The Lion of Tuscany series was issued under the rule of Leopold II, and is highly regarded for its detailed design and historical value. The 9 Crazie denomination was used for international and heavier letters, making surviving examples relatively scarce.

Condition:
