Item Description

Here are ten plate number strips which were issued in Kansas City in coil format and were used to service first day covers. They were offered through the Philatelic Catalog only and became known as the "Kansas City Coils" since their "normal" format was in booklet pane format. The plate number is on the center stamp of the strips of three.  There are two strips of four as well (Scott 2799a and 3017a) in which the plate number is not centered. Current catalog value on this PNC strip collection sits at $93.32. Are these coils missing from your collection? Why not add them today?
