Item Description

This mailer was created by the dedicated staff of the International Society for Portuguese Philately to commemorate the reversion of Macau to China. It was used to mail their October-December 1999 issue of the society's journal from Macau on December 19, 1999, the last day of colonial administration of the colony. The envelope size is 10½ inches by 7½ inches (27 by 19 centimeters).

This sale also includes a page torn from the November 22, 1999 edition of "Stamp Collector" magazine. The newsprint page is approximately 10½ inches wide by 12 inches high. It contains a complete article about the end of Portuguese rule and includes two maps and color Portuguese Macau stamp images. The page has been folded in half horizontally.

The stamps on this cover include a vertical pair, the lower of which has been creased.
