Item Description

This cover was mailed from Meiganga, Cameroon to Yaoundé, Cameroon's capital, in 1959 franked by four copies of the 5F F.I.D.E.S. (Investment Fund for Economic and Social Development) issue of 1956, Scott 326. The stamps are tied to the envelope by Meiganga simplex circular date stamps.

'Via Air Mail - Par Avion' printed in white on the envelope's front, at bottom.

Backstamps: N'Gaoundéré simplex circular date stamp as a transit marking; Yaoundé roller cancel as an arrival marking.

Opened by lifting, the backflap is sealed and intact. No contents.
