A block of 4 with signature sold for $1000 on kelleher july 22 2025. This is a magnificent item block of 48 amazing for an exhibit! This has an irrelavant thin see pictures. What an amazing piece for your exhibit this is a unique item!1908, 1d "king edward vii land" overprint, signed by shackleton (scott 121a), favor-cancelled "brt. Antarctic expedition" mar. 4 postmark (stamps never hinged, hinged in selvage only), with manuscript notes "to w. Westeen from" and "these are the first polar stamps ever officially issued" in top margin and " postmaster to deal with this matter by the n. Zealand government" in left margin, each of which followed by "eh shackleton" signature, stamps off-center, still a superb item. A showpiece for any new zealand or polar collection or exhibit.
