NEWFOUNDLAND 1865 2c YELLOWISH GREEN ON THINNER YELLOWISH PAPER & 1870 2c BLUISH GREEN ON MEDIUM WHITE PAPER, SG 25 & 31, SCOTT 24 & 24A MM/MH CAT £250($325)........ SCOTT CAT $250

THE 1865 2c YELLOWISH GREEN IS MOUNTED MINT WITH A HINGE REMNANT.

THE 1870 2c BLUISH GREEN IS LIGHTLY MOUNTED MINT WITH ONLY LIGHT EVIDENCE OF HINGING. 

Both very fresh with great defining color, quite well centered (good for this issue) both with evidence of hinging as noted above on otherwise full original gum.

Scarce 1865 2c yellowish green on thinner yellowish paper & 1870 2c bluish green on medium white paper issues in fine to very fine mint condition

Condition notes for mint stamps

UMM = Unmounted Mint - never previously hinged (nh) mint stamps with no gum disturbance

VLMM = Very Lightly Mounted Mint - No hinge remainder but has very slight gum disturbance which may have been caused by a hinge.

LMM = Lightly Mounted mint clear evidence of having been previously mounted but light with full original gum

MM = Mounted Mint - clear evidence of having been mounted with hinge remainder(s) on back

Unused = No gum
