Nova Scotia, Scott 4, MOG. September 1, 1851 issue, 6p yellow green Crown & Flowers, imperf with margins very wide to just touching at lower right. V. G. Greene certificate states: "Unused, genuine, with disturbed original gum." which must refer to the hinge remnant - the gum is not affected otherwise. The Scott Classic Specialized catalog states that values for Scott 4-7 are for stamps without gum as they are rarely found with any remaining original gum. Fresh, bright, sound, F-VF. 2019 Gibbons CV: £4,750. 2019 Unitrade CV: C$7,500. 2019 Scott Classic Specialized CV: $5,500 for no gum. Examples with gum are not priced and rarely encountered.
