NYC Illuminated Sign TAX STICKER: Red issue for 1987-88; I believe there were only one or two years of these made, required to be affixed to the window of the business in which they were displayed, 3 inch square, this restaurant on 23rd Street decided to not affix the sticker, making this the ONLY KNOWN mint example, over the years it became separated from the backing, which is numbered and preserved, the sticker is affixed to clear plastic, absolutely impossible to obtain, Fine-VF and exciting find!

The restaurant at 159 W. 23rd St is long-gone but in the 80s and early 90s it was quite the rage. The Lucky Garden was unusual in that it had a bar with sophisticated local women serving drinks. Many business people went in there to unwind and some people got a drink while waiting for their take-out.
