1900 "British Occupation" 1s on 1s (brown). An u/m never hinged gutter copy from the right-hand pane showing the ERROR OF COLOUR SURCHARGE on 1s orange-yellow. The interpanneau selvedge at left also shows partial surcharge ". I.". BPA Certificate (2020). The Certifcate states the the stamp is of 'Clandestine origin' - IE: See notes after SG 132 (After the fall of Bloemfontein initial stocks siezed were surcharged and subsequent stocks (small blocks found) were also handed in for surcharging as with this example).
