Paul Lawrence Dunbar American Poet MNH Block (10) 10 cent Scott #1554 Very Nice Centering (ungraded), OG, Excellent condition. Born 1872 in Dayton, Ohio, Dunbar was friends with the Wright Brothers. During is 33 year life-span, he published 12 books of poetry, four books of short stories, four novels and a play. During a literary tour in England, 1897, he met Samuel Coleridge-Taylor who put some of his poems to music. He also wrote the lyrics for In Dahomey, the first musical to be written and performed entirely by African Americans.Seller Information
