Item Description

SCV $1.75 (2014). Single 2-cent George Washington stamp in MNH, average condition. The stamp is a United States SC #279B (type IV) with "Philippines" overprinted diagonally in black ink. This stamp was printed when the Philippines was a possession of the United States which was acquired from Spain in 1899 at the end of the Spanish-American War. No flaws noted. Flat plate printing, double-line watermark (i.e. Wmk 191), perf 12.
