Poland, H&G 86 used. 1939 15gr Postal Card, Official Use POSEN to KRAKOW, bold & crisp strikes of black POSEN 3g / 15 - XII - 39 CDS, number of other markings, addressed to Krakow. The reason that this POSTAL CARD is so interesting and unusual is that this is a Polish postcard with the message in German sent through a German post office 3 months after Poznan (Polish for German name of Posen) was occupied by Nazi troops. Corner crease affects indicium, very attractive and rare! Stamped Z. Mikulski and signed H. Kronenberg; both of whom are world renowned experts in this field.
