Item Description

This one-cent blue / grayish white Grant postal card issue of 1891, Scott UX11, was mailed locally in Princeton, New Jersey in 1900 and was cancelled by a duplex with a Station-1 barred elliptical killer.

Verso is a brief hand-written note asking the recipient to "Kindly call at the house at noon, and oblige' (which says something about the efficiency of the mails; likely the recipient was just down the route from the sender).

Lower right corner mildly bumped (see scans).
