Is the manuscript cancel April 14, 1865, or April 11, 1865?? It seems to have a down-stroke, then a diagonal stroke over to a loop, then down; which looks like possibly a four. President Lincoln gave his last public speech on April 11, 1865, and was assassinated on April 14, 1865. So this stamp is an interesting artifact whichever date is correct! Premium for the cancel. The stamp itself has faults: sp on top and perfs in on the bottom; small paper abrasions below the hinge remnant on the back.
