Item Description
Meter stamps: type f in red, chicago ill nov 29 1935, impression on brown env, from the c.B. & q.R.R. (chicago, burlington & quincy railroad -which later merged into the burlington northern), addr pennsylvania railroad in philadelphia, the env is marked "r.R.B." for railroad business, but it has been overstruck by "u.S. Mail", unsure if this represents a postal monopoly usage carried by rail, or if it was sent regular mail, either way it is very unusual, scarce usage of a flying eagle meter stamp, vfI combine shipping. Just ask.
