Hello! This auction is for a RARE IMPERFORATE (NO DIE-CUT) COMPLETE Pane of 20 of the $22.95 Columbia River Gorge, Express Mail rate stamp issued in 2016, Scott #5041a. The 2023 Catalog value for this pane is $2000.00 and it is listed in italics, reflecting infrequent sales information---rarity of the item possibly indicates that value is understated in Scott.Why RARE? This Imperforate (No Die-Cut) variety was only issued in press sheet form and only 250 press sheets of 3 panes were sold by the USPS. Naturally, these sold out quickly. Most of these press sheets and panes were divided into singles and pairs to satisfy collector demand so it is very likely that less than a half of the 750 intact panes exist. There is no question that this pane is the KEY to a COMPLETE MODERN IMPERFORATE pane collection.
