Rare Small 5/8" x 1 5/8" 1929 Egypt Poster Stamp 1st African Games April 5 To 19 Alexandria Unused 80% Original GumThis Poster Stamp Was Issued To Commemorate The 1ers Jeux Africains (First African Games), Held In Alexandria, Egypt, From April 5 To 19, 1929. The Design Is Executed In A Modernist Style With White Lettering On A Green Background, Framed By Stylized Wavy Lines That Evoke Water Or Movement, Appropriate Given Alexandria’s Mediterranean Location. The Stamp’s Layout Is Geometrically Balanced, With Three Lines Of Text Reading: 1ers Jeux Africains, 5 Au 19 Avril 1929, Alexandrie.
