REVENUES & CINDERELLA Jersey - France Strike Mail: 1971 Post Office Strike, six labels issued for mail top France unmounted mint rouletted on coloured papers for 2F40 (3 diff colours incl error), 9F60 and two overprinted C S on different 2F40 papers. Each inscribed EMERGENCY MAIL / CONTRIBUTION AUX FRAIS / DE PORT BENEVOLE... / TO FRANCE. These were produced by M Laine in Paris for mail Jersey to France. Total printing was 704 of each value from which 150 had been sold as mint, and 120 surcharged CS which were used from Jersey to Paris. The 2F40 blue on green paper is an error (only 96 examples existed), mint examples are very scarce. (6).
