Condition: Wonderful student selection of reference (forgery) cards that were part of the legendary Maclellan stock that shows a variety of error and variety cards with a nice selection of 'candle light' cards (the 1st 4 pics shows the 10 cards that have the candle light variety with a variety of forged overprints and each of these listing show the small write up that was included from his stock)... the remaining 15 cards are from the remainder of this stock and i have provided his reference write up's without further defining each card as this should be self evident from the scans...the last pic shows a representative showing of the markings on each card marking them as 'forgery' cards (each card typically has one to two hand stamps on the back)...some mild mixed condition, etc as shown that do not detract in any way...should be of use to the student in this field and should be excellent material for exhibit or study... all the basic cards, including the rare 'candle light' cards are of course genuine...all are shown...i do not see any #'s on the reverse of the cards... I have added a nice selection of many stamps to my store. I fondly remember going to stamp shows as a child, enjoying going through counter books where I could pick out the 'ideal' stamp for me. The days where local stamp shows would allow this experience are few and far between. I have attempted to re-create this by listing selected stock which you can pick from.
