This cover was sent from San Francisco, California to Chicago, Illinois in 1947 franked by a horizontal strip of three of the one-cent green George Washington Prexie issue of 1938, Scott 804. The stamps are tied to the cover by a U.S. Postage Stamp Centenary - International Philatelic Exhibition pictorial machine cancellation.Cut open top so slightly reduced, the backflap is sealed and intact. Tiny amount of machine cancel set off verso. No contents or backstamps.
