Item Description

Here is a nice group of early Trans-Mississippi Expo commemoratives, Scott 285-288, and 290. The one and two cent examples are nice and the picture tells the whole story. Scott 287, the 4c example has a horizontal fold across the entire stamp which is visible from the back. Scott 288, the 5c example has a beautiful circular date stamp from New York, NY from Oct 1898, but also unfortunately has an eight mm tear at the bottom of the stamp which separates the two soldiers at the bottom of the stamp. Finally, the 10c example, Scott 290 has a couple small thins. I try to be thorough with my descriptions of the stamps so there are no surprises when they reach your door and you make a knowledgable bid based on the condition of the stamps. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask. 2013 Scott Catalogue value on this group is $97.25, but I would estimate them at roughly half that based on their condition. You be the judge!
