This is a Scott #RP1a - 1c Green - Old Paper - T. Kensett & Co. with Exceptional Centering for this issue.

Aldrich notes only 27 copies of the RP1a, 20 of which have faults, as this example has a small fault at left, however does not impact the appearance of the stamp.
Printed on old paper, this stamp has great color and is stain and toning free.
This exceptional example of this stamp has the finest appearance of any of the RP1a.

Note: Only 1 RP1a aside from this one has 4 margins, with full design free from perforations. However that stamp has issues with staining, toning, faded color and is thinned, and does not present as nicely as this one.
