I am selling the entire contents of my Scouting Philately Store, a collection of over 8,000 stamps and philatelic material depicting Boy and Girl Scouts, US Scouting cachet covers, Cub Scouts, Girl Guides, Pioneers, Brigades, and St. George (patron saint of Scouting). The collection is housed in 40+ 3 ring binders with additional material.
In addition to derivatives and commemoratives, the collection also includes many imperforates, souvenir sheets, compound sheets, etc. 99% of the items are mint, unhinged.
I have pictured some of the binders and a few pages of the collection. Almost everything is in labeled glassine envelopes.
All listed prices are below ‘book value’ and total over $100,000.
Please be aware that hipstamp is unable to show the collection without collectors buying items. Therefore, the collection may have items ‘missing’ from when you first viewed the collection. Once a purchase price is agreed to and down payment received, the collection can be frozen with no further sales permitted. If necessary, the price can be negotiated based on recent sales.
The 22 most expensive items total over $20,000. Should Buyer wish to take over selling the collection on hipstamp with all 8,000 items already imaged, the Scouting Philately store can be transferred to the Buyer,
Shipping costs will be significant due to the weight of the manila display sheets and the binders. The sheets could be removed from the binders to lighten the weight.
REGARDLESS of any invoice you receive, the shipping will be calculated when sale is finalized and buyer’s location is known. HipStamp will not allow me to complete the listing without a shipping price. I put down $1000 as a placeholder. Shipping will be at cost +13.5% to cover hipstamp and paypal fees.
