Item Description
This one-cent black / buff Liberty postal card issue of 1875, Scott UX5, was mailed from Searsport, Maine to Portland, Maine in 1881 and cancelled by a duplex with a double circle date stamp and a target killer.Verso is a hand-written order, "Gents, Please send me by Gilbert & Crandaw's Exp..."
Two file hole punches center (see scans). Private owner's mark 'BH' (Bruce Hazelton) verso.
