Set of two hand painted FDCs by cachet artist Frans Geerlings (Geerlings Cachets) for The Civil War: 1861 stamps issued Apr. 12, 2011, in Charleston, SC. Fort Sumter cachet features Union soldiers preparing to fire one of the fort's guns. First Bull Run cachet features a grisly battle scene between Union and Confederate soldiers. USPS black and white pictorial cancel on each cover. Signed and numbered on face (4/32 and 4/34, respectively).
