Item Description
The very popular,multi-year sets of Lighthouses began with a booklet set of five, issued at the World Stamp Expo held in Washington DC in 1990.Bennett Cachetoons printed 5 different, color-coded cachets for the stamps, and a very few sets were taken by my dad to the Postique at the Old Washingtom Post Office for UnOfficial First Day cancels. Somehow, over the years, the Quoddy Head Lighthouse FDC was lost . . and unfortunately this is the last - albeit incomplete - set that we have .
Each cover got a somewhat light cancel on the First Day of April 26, 1990.
