Item Description
Signed Bureau of Engraving and Printing. Souvenir Card. B60. Issued for TEXANEX-TOPEX '83 exhibition, June 17-19, 1983, San Antonio, Texas. Card features print reproductions of Scott #776 Texas Centennial stamp - block of four - and #1660 Texas State Flag stamp. Exhibition was sponsored by San Antonio Philatelic Association and American Topical Association. This card is autographed by the president, show chairman, and three directors of the sponsoring organization, San Antonio Philatelic Association. It also has six added Texas- related stamps - #s 776, 938, 1043,1242,1330,1340. Most of these stamps are tied incorrectly by two official first day of issue cancellations, June 17, 1983, San Antonio, Texas. None of these stamps were issued on that date.
