If you live above the Arctic Circle, and you're missing a pet Snowshoe Hare from your backyard - here's the culprit!The Snowy Owl is the 'Great White Hunter' of the arctic tundras. In 1999 Greenland issued a lovely set of four World Wildlife Fund stamps in four stages of its lifespan.
This handcolored FDC bears all four stamps in this sought-after set. It was cancelled with two nice strikes of the official Greenland First Day of Issue (Udgivelsesdag) pictorial cancel showing a Snowy Owl in flight.
The reverse, bearing the Puffin Cachets logo, attests to this being cover #13 of only 16 sent to Greenland for servicing!
