The year 1992 saw the very first of the United States long string of Lunar New Year issues. Here is the first of the 12 zodiac animals to grace a U.S postage stamp -- the Rooster!This one-color printed cachet features a rooster in a 'cartoon-traditional' Chinese wardrobe holding a Happy New Year banner.
Bennett Cachetoons did a cover for each of the first 11 Lunar New Year issues, but we missed out on the Monkey!
