Item Description
This business size windowed envelope was mailed locally in Toronto in 1935, franked by a 2-cent brown Duke of York issue of 1935, Scott 212, that was tied to the cover by a machine cancellation.The stamp is a Perfin ('CPR').
The corner card is illustrated with a shield, that reads:
'Canadian Pacific,
Railway,
Steamships,
Communications,
Hotels,
World's Greatest Travel System.'
Slit open top, the backflap is sealed and intact, with some creasing at the side tips (see scan). No contents. Small diagonal tear at right of stamp (see scan). Verso has a Toronto Postal Terminal circular date stamp. In print on the backflap: "Form 2329 / Printed in Canada / (2)."
The cover in the scan is the one you will receive. Light lines in images are SCANNER ARTIFACT!
