Item Description

This is a Scott U163 postal cover. The Alvarado, California, circular date stamp and obliterator (solid star within a circle) are dark green or maybe bluish green. The envelope measures 5½ by 3¼ inches. The cover is obviously in rough condition. In addition, the top edge and both ends of the cover have been slit open. There is a lightly penciled numeral 4 below the indicium and the back of the envelope has been used for some math calculations in pencil.
