AEROGRAMME USED to Communist Bloc Nation with PROOF OF CONTENT (CURRENCY): 22c Stylized "USA" Airletter Issue, (Scott #UC50), light but readable machine cnl from NE, 5 Jun 1976. addr Rychnor N. Kn (Rychnov nad Kněžnou) CZECHOSLOVAKIA, the aerogramme contained money and really should have never left the US - or at least gone surface mail, however it appears to have gone without interception to Prague, where eagle-eyed inspectors noticed it had content, it was opened and resealed, currency control marks added and FORCED REGISTRATION applied, registration label added,T1-Kcs marking applied (due 1 Crown), other markings and tape, etc, then sent on its way to the recipient, we known the aerogramme had a five dollar note within as THE SENDER MENTIONED IT IN HIS LETTER (See second scan), tape has been mostly removed, tabs removed or damaged, light bends, still an utterly arresting example of someone determined to get his money's worth, the mention of the currency in the letter makes this unique! Displays really well, Fine-VF!  

The registration and due markings are common on Czech mail of this period, but I have never seen such a thing on an aerogramme. Like I stated, this airletter should have been stopped by the US authorities - or at least sent surface.
