Item Description

The item in this listing is a single souvenir sheet issued by Royal Mail (the British Post Office) in 2006 to commemorate the 150th anniversary of the creation of the Victoria Cross, Britain's highest military honour. The souvenir sheet is listed in Scott as #2399c, and has a 2008 CV of $14.00 (bound to increase this year due to currency exchange rates if for no other reason.)

The sheet includes a 20p stamp first issued in 1990 showing the Victoria Cross, and six 2006 stamps showing and describing notable recipients of this award. The 2006 stamps include two "NVI 1st" stamps (similar to a US "forever" stamp) and two each in denominations of 64p and 72p, which were then-current international rates.
