Item Description

SCV $30.50 (2020). Complete set of six Columbian Exposition souvenir sheets in MNH, VF condition. No flaws noted on any of the souvenir sheets. The gum is immaculate & shiny on the sheets, the sheets are crisp & their colors are bright. The six sheets come enclosed within their original designer envelope and the sixteen stamps depict replicas of the sixteen stamps that were issued during 1893 to commemorate the 400th anniversary of Columbus' 1492 voyage. The first sheet (SC #2624) depicts the 1-cent, 4-cent & 1-dollar stamps of the Columbian issue. The second sheet (SC #2625) depicts 2-cent, 3-cent & 4-dollar stamps. Sheet three (SC #2626) depicts the 5-cent, 30-cent & 50-cent stamps. The fourth sheet (SC #2627) depicts the 6-cent, 8-cent & 3-dollar stamps. Sheet five (SC #2628) shows the 10-cent, 15-cent & 2-dollar stamps and the sixth sheet (SC #2629) indicates the 5-dollar stamp. Lithographed & engraved, water-activated gum, perf 10½. The stamps with denominations from 15-cent to 5-dollar are tagged. All of the remaining stamps are untagged.
