Item Description

Block of eight (73-cent) Goodnight Moon forever stamps in MNH, VF condition. No flaws noted. The die cuts are fully intact (i.e. no separations or folds are noted), the stamps are crisp & their colors are bright. The block of stamps (in left-to-right, top-to-bottom order) depict the following scenes from the story "Goodnight Moon" by Margaret Wise Brown: rabbit in bed (SC #6002), framed picture of chairs (SC #6003), a mouse sitting in front of a blazing fireplace (SC #6006), framed picture of a cow jumping over the moon (SC #6007), table with lamp, comb, hair brush & bowl of food (SC #6009), red doll house (SC #6004), rabbit sitting in a rocking chair knitting (SC #6008) and rack with two socks & two mittens (SC #6005). Selvage is attached along the top, bottom & left side of the block of stamps and plate number 'B1111' is printed horizontally above the stamp located at the upper left-hand corner and below the stamp located at the lower left-hand corner of the block of stamps. Bar code number '486200' is printed vertically on the back of the left selvage. Lithographed, self-adhesive gum, tagged, serpentine die cut 10¾.
