United States, Scott #2646a, used(o) strip, 1992, Hummingbird Set of Five, complete strip; stamp shows, from left to right, a Ruby Throated bird, a Broad Billed bird, a Costa's bird, a Rufous bird, and a Calliope bird; series was designed by noted wildlife artist Chuck (Charles Lewis) Ripper (1929-2019) of Huntington, West Virginia; Hummingbirds are small, colorful birds with long beaks and wings that beat rapidly; they are native to the Americas and are known for their ability to hover in place in front of flowers to extract the nectar which is their major food source; they are known as humming birds because of the sounds created by their beating wings; in addition to their unique form of flight, which allows them to hover in mid-air, their iridescent feathers make them stand out in the avian world; John Audubon fittingly called them ‘glittering fragments of the rainbow’; 29 cents, photogravure printed by the Multi-Color Corporation on a subcontract from the American Bank Note Company, four stamps in the set appear as coil stamps, perforated: 11 vertical, but all five stamps are booklet stamps, issued in four panes of five stamps each for a total of 20 stamps, the first four stamps of the pane have imperforated tops and bottoms (IPIP) while the fifth stamp in the booklet has a cut right side (IIIP), multicolored, Scott 2025 Catalog Value for the strip: $2.50, nicely centered (superb), three full circular, single-rimmed, black-inked, socked-on-the-nose cancellations with full mailing details on the five stamps {SNOW CAMP NC 27349, JAN, 26, 2025}, mailed from Snow Camp, North Carolina a rural community between Greensboro and Raleigh on January 26th, 2025, sound back, good perforations; centering and mailing details cancels warrants a selling price premium. This is not a 'bait-and-switch;' the stamp you see will be the one you receive.

I will send the purchase by US first class mail, since the relatively low value of the stamp does not warrant signature or tracking mail. Hence the buyer assumes risk of loss or non-delivery. I will keep a scan of my mailing to verify that the correct mailing address was used.
