The 33¢ Coral Rose definitive was issued in 1999 at the AFDCS annual convention, 'AmeriCover', both bringing a small amount of delight to collectors that we would have a ceremony at all . . but continuing the 7-year drought of not having a commemorative stamp issued at the show.Things became even grimmer when we realized the stamp was being issued on FRIDAY THE THIRTEENTH!
But this handcolored cachet makes the best of the situation by showing a black cat admiring a Coral Rose while surrounded by four more scenarios indicative of bad luck!
This FDC is also a combo with an earlier Rose stamp - the 15¢ Medallion Roses booklet stamp of 1978.
