Exceptional 1945 official postal cover from the MUNICIPAL PARKS DEPARTMENT (DIRECCIÓN DE PASEOS PÚBLICOS) of MONTEVIDEO, URUGUAY, bearing a bold departmental handstamp and manuscript cancellation. The front is annotated “S/O PARA USO OFICIAL” (FOR OFFICIAL USE ONLY). Enclosed is the original TYPED INTERNAL COMMUNICATION, featuring the AUTHENTIC HANDWRITTEN SIGNATURE OF ARCHITECT JUAN ANTONIO SCASSO.

Scasso served as director of Parks between 1929 and 1952 and is widely celebrated as the DESIGNER OF THE ESTADIO CENTENARIO, built for the inaugural 1930 FIFA WORLD CUP.
