US 620 & 621 2c & 5c Norse American Issue blocks of 4 on One First Day Cover (both stamps came out on the same day), Washington, D.C. May 18, 1925 slogan machine cancel ties stamps to cover & with a duplex cancel struck twice, C.E. Nickles printed return address, No Cachet, typed address, red & blue striped Air Mail envelope, 3 back stamps - Missent To Chicago, Ill. in 3 lines; Chicago, Ill. May 19, 1925 duplex cancel; & San Francisco, Calif. May 21, 1925 duplex cancel (see scan), some light tone at right side, open left. This cover is from the early period of dealers & collectors beginning to create First Day Covers. Most First Day Covers at that time looked like ordinary mail. Cachets for First Day Covers were almost unknown. Covers created by the early pioneer dealers & collectors of First Day Covers are the most sought after. This cover created by dealer C.E. Nickles is a classic example. Scarce to Rare w/ blocks of 4 of each stamp issue on one cover! ECV $750.00 +
