Item Description

SCV $3.00 (2014). Single 1-cent Playing Card revenue stamp in UNUSED, F-VF condition. The stamp is wrinkled & the gum is disturbed with fingerprints, otherwise no flaws noted. The gum appears to be fully intact (although disturbed), the stamp is crisp & its color is bright. "U.S.P.C. Co." is printed on two lines in red ink within a seal which reads downward. This stamp is the first stamp on the coil (only one side is perforated) which may explain the wrinkling & the disturbed gum. Rotary press printing, water-activated gum, double-line watermark (wmk 191R), perf 10 vertically.
