Item Description
SCV $1.00 (2020). Single, entire 14-cent first day cancellation (FDC) postal card commemorating the 350th Anniversary of the Settling of Connecticut in UNUSED condition. No flaws noted. The card is stiff with no creases or bent corners. The card is clean with no stray marks. Its colors are bright, the ArtCraft cachet is distinct & clear with a depiction of a gathering of the founding fathers in the background and Rev. Thomas Hooker in the foreground and text declaring "350th Anniversary Settling of Connecticut 1636-1936" on three lines. The first day cancellation mark was issued at "HARTFORD, CT 06101" & dated "APR 18 1986". The cancellation mark reads "FIRST DAY OF ISSUE" in black ink between two sets of parallel, horizontal bars. The stamp is lithographed & its colors are bright. The message side of the card is completely blank.Seller Information
