Cleveland u.S.S. Nevada a division c/o postmaster san francisco, california with 'change of address due to official order.' auxiliary marking and sec. Base pear harbor th manuscript at bottom left. Navy yard station bremerton, washington july 23, 1942 machine cancel on reverse. The cover was sent to a navy sailor aboard the uss nevada (badly damaged december 7, 1941 in japanese attack at pear harbor), delayed at bremertain, washington and then forwarded to sailor who was not a casuality, at section base pearl harbor. Interesting usage! Sent 1942, opened cleanly at backflap, light general wear & toning. Very fine condition. Base shipping is $2.00 domestic & $4.00 international.
